Our services.

True Labs for Cannabis will provide the following testing services (* denotes a medical cannabis type of test/screening that is currently required in The State of New Jersey medical marijuana regulation23):

Foreign Materials

Foreign materials in cannabis includes any kind of matter that should not be present including rodent feces or hair, insects, insect fragments or eggs, parasites, and others. Common cannabis contaminants include grey mold, but rot, and spider mites. All of these foreign materials pose a serious health hazard to cannabis consumers.

True Labs does a physical examination to inspect cannabis samples for these contaminants. Our inspection process includes use of UV light, a high-powered microscope, and flotation techniques. We also examine the sample's trichomes to determine if the cannabis flower was fully mature at time of harvest.

Cannabinoid Profiling

Cannabinoids and terpenes are the primary compounds found in cannabis that provide the health benefits and effects experienced by consumers. The most well-known cannabinoids are THC and CBD, but there are more than 100 other cannabinoids that have been identified. Several cannabinoids are scientifically studied and known to have health and medicinal benefits.

Cannabinoid profiling informs customers and consumers about the potency and concentration of active cannabinoids in cannabis (either hemp or marijuana). It is extremely important that cannabis is labeled with all of the active ingredients and their potencies. Accurate profiling and labeling has an impact on doctors determining accurate dosage, providers verifying the quality of their products, and helping consumers to select the right cannabis product to fit their health and personal needs.

True Labs for Cannabis tests for and quantifies a wide range of cannabinoids and their quantities, including tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), cannabidiol (CBD), tetrahydrocannabinolic acid (THCA), tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV), cannabichromene (CBC), cannabidiolic acid (CBDA), cannabigerol (CBG), and cannabinol (CBN).
